Title:  Math: A Kid's Point of View

Description:  When you think of the word MATH do you think of the word FUN? After this class you will! Parents know that children are unique and learn in different ways. This class is designed to allow students to explore math concepts in their own unique way. NO WORKSHEETS HERE! Each week students will be presented with a problem to explore. This class is HANDS ON, Bible based, and activities are done in groups developing teamwork and friendship. This method of teaching math is based on Elementary and Middle School Mathematics: Teaching Developmentally by John Van de Walle and Revealing Arithmetic: Math Concepts from a Biblical Worldview by Katherine Loop. This class is based on Colossians 1:16 which teaches us that God created all things – even MATH – and Genesis 2:15 which teaches us that God gave us some work to do so let’s get busy!
