Title:  Phonics and Beginning Reading

Description:    Opening the world of reading, this is a phonetically based program using Sing, Spell, Read, and Write, and Explode the Code. Each child will be given an age appropriate assessment to determine workbook placement. 1st semester includes handwriting, stories, fables, and nursery rhymes to provide a rich serving of literature and language. 2nd semester moves towards applying newly acquired skills through journaling. Each child performs at his/her level.
