Title: Advanced German

Description:   This is an advanced German course where students will learn to increase their ability to read, write, and speak German. Students will learn new vocabulary for communicating in a variety of settings. In addition, the focus on German grammar will continue on a higher level. Students will learn more about German culture, traditions, and historical events and figures. We will be doing an in-depth study of the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor and martyr during World War 2. There will also be interactive assignments using computers and outside field trips to practice our language skills. (Pre-requisite for this class is German 1 and 2. Though exceptional students who have completed German 1 may qualify after being interviewed by the teacher.)1 high school credit. (Each student will need a 2 GB USB flash drive to copy files to home computer.)
